kmart ... killing it!

This post is for my fellow Aussie readers who share the same love of Kmart as myself. I honestly stop in at Kmart at least once every week to check their latest collection of homewares and find myself making a few sneaky purchases each time.

Which leads me to my next point .... Kmart is absolutely killing it in the style stakes lately! They are so on trend and I find myself wanting to introduce more and more of their great and affordable stock into my new home.

Below is a round up of all my latest Kmart purchases. Stay tuned to the blog for another post where I will show you around my home so you can see how they look all styled up!

I'm actually using this copper geometric candle holder ($7) as the table centrepiece for the outdoor alfresco area at my wedding. My lovely florist is going to cover in vine and white flowers to pretty it up a bit and tie in with my wedding décor! After my wedding I'm also going to find a place for these in my own outdoor area. I'm thinking they would look cute running along the decking to add some atmosphere when we have guests over for dinner parties!

The white ceramic pineapple jar ($9) is currently being used as a cotton wool holder in my downstairs guest bathroom. I also have two of these in the teal colour which I am going to fill with sand and use as bookends in my reading room.

Lightboxes are such a fun way to inject some personality into a room. I haven't set mine up yet but keep an eye out on my Instagram for some photos when I finally get it working. I think I'll place it in my kitchen. This Kmart light box costs $19 and would make a great gift!

Can you believe this rose gold typography print cost me all of $7 and it came framed! I hope Kmart bring out a few other designs so I can add to my bedroom gallery wall. This is sold out online but check your local store, mine had two left when I bought this last night.

I purchased this copper wire basket ($12) a few months back to use as a clothes hamper but ended up changing my mind. I now keep it in my bedroom to store extra pillows and throws as I think it looks too cute to hide away in a closet with dirty clothes haha. This also comes in a few extra colours (by memory white, neon yellow and teal blue) and is a really good price. I've come across several dupes that cost way over the $50 mark and look no nicer than this Kmart one.

I won't lie when I say I ran to my local store and searched high and wide for this copper plant stand ($6) after seeing it on the Kmart instagram page. I'd actually had my eye on this exact same design (which retailed for over $100 on another website) for months but couldn't bring myself to pay that much for a plant stand I didn't know where I was going to put or what I was going to do with it! I actually think I might end up putting this in my outdoor alfresco area, although it would also tie in nicely in my hallway area or even my bedroom. I'll let you know how I end up using it!

Last but not least, this cute two-tone copper dipped vase ($9) is the latest addition to my home. I'll probably end up putting this on my outdoor dining table (when we finally purchase one)!

As you can see I'm on a bit of a copper/rose gold kick at the moment. It's so pretty and on trend and with prices as cheap as Kmart's I can afford to purchase lots of bits and pieces to pad out my home.

What colours/styling choices are you into at the moment? Have you discovered any Kmart favourites?
