spotlight on

Today's spotlight is on the gorgeous childrenswear boutique Tutu du Monde.

I first stumbled across Tutu du Monde while devouring this blog post about Justine Cullen's (Elle Australia Editor-in-Chief) wedding. Among all the other amazing elements of Justine's wedding (I seriously recommend reading the above post if you are in the midst of wedding planning for some fun, quirky and unusual ideas) I couldn't help but notice how cute the flower girl dresses were and knew I wanted something equally as stunning for my own wedding.

Well fast forward three years and finally the time came to pick out dresses for my flower girl and junior bridesmaid. I searched online for days looking for a pretty dress that was age appropriate yet still modern and stylish, finding this a surprisingly hard feat. I kept coming back to Tutu du Monde which seemed to be the only shop offering exactly what I wanted.

I'm not going to share the exact dress or colour I picked out (some things have to remain a secret until my wedding!), however I will say that all of the dresses on the website are equally beautiful and I promise you won't find it hard to choose something to suit whatever occasion/colour theme/event you have coming up.

For all the mummy's, aunties, sisters and brides out there looking for a special dress for your little girl, Tutu du Monde is definitely worth checking out.

The shop also sells skirts, tops, shoes and accessories for girls aged one to eleven. The below picks are my favourite from their current stock - how seriously stylish are the rose gold ballet flats and glitter cape! I wish they came in my size.

I love the fact the dresses are designed in Australia - I'm all for supporting local designers and putting money back into our own economy. Shipping is also fast and available worldwide with a great exchange/refund policy.

Happy shopping everyone!
