home tour part one (master bedroom and ensuite)

Good morning and hopefully the sun is shining wherever you are!

Today I will be sharing part one of my long overdue home tour, starting in the master bedroom and ensuite.

Firstly I just want to start by saying that our house is anything BUT finished and our bedroom is no exception. I still have to perfect the styling (especially our bed side tables, they are currently looking very bare), add artwork and maybe a television - you can read more about my TV dilemma here!

So please be gentle with me and I would love to hear from you with any reccomendations on pieces to add to my bedroom and bathroom to give it that polished and finished look I am after.

I also apologise for the poor quality pictures. I am currently using my iPhone to take all my photos as I haven't got a camera. I know, terrible blogger right!

I shared this shot on instagram last week after purchasing the arm chair from Ikea - it was love at first sight, especially when I saw the price tag!

I love the view outside our bedroom window. While our house doesn't have ocean, river or even park views, it does look onto our street (which is slowly becoming more manicured and complete considering it was nearly empty just a year ago).

Our bedroom - as you can see I love pretty colours combined with soft, beige and white staple pieces.

I love the feminine take on the aztec/tribal print in these cushions

I can't go past a good rose gold foil print and this one is perfect for the bedroom and for us! Matt is quite the jokster and definitely never fails to make me laugh so when I came across this quote I thought it was very fitting.

We picked up this gorgeous wooden pineapple on our holiday to Bali last year, where Matt proposed (full story here), so it is very sentimental to me.

Love the gentle breeze that comes in when this window is open.

I can't wait to curl up in this comfy armchair and read a magazine on a beautiful Summer's afternoon.

Our ensuite - we stuck with a very neutral palette in here and I'm so happy with the feature tile we chose - it looks great running down the middle of the shower and adds some instant glam-factor to the room.

I've tried to list where I purchased most of the items below but if you have any questions or if I have forgotten anything please don't hesitate to ask.  I would love to hear from you.
