blogmas day six ... confidence boosters

The silly season can be tiring with it's endless parties, catch ups and extra time spent at work trying to finish everything before you go on leave. During this time, I find myself struggling with sleep and waking up feeling groggy and tired more often than not.

So today I thought I would share a few tips to boost your confidence and make yourself feel great ahead of the crazy Summer months!



Oversized sunglasses: the perfect cover-up for those days when you are feeling under the weather or extra tired, oversized sunnies are my favourite confidence booster. Also great for protecting your eyes from the harsh Aussie sun! I usually have a few different pairs of sunglasses on the go - at the moment I am loving this pair from Forever New and this pair from Michael Kors.

Spray tan: never understimate the power of a spray tan. It will make you feel fabulous instantly and will give you the confidence to rock that bathing suit, try on those shorts you have been wanting to wear for ages or pull out that mini dress for a super sexy date night look! I also find when I have a spray tan I can wear less makeup and embrace an au-naturale hairstyle, meaning less time in front of the mirror and more time getting stuff done!

Bright lipstick: whenever I am feeling a bit drab or tired, I pull out some bold lipstick to brighten up my face and my mood. By adding a pop of colour, my skin really comes to life and I feel a whole lot more put together. Some of my favourite bright lipsticks are MAC Vegas Volt, Lady Danger and Rebel (I dab this on for a toned down burgundy colour).

Top knot: an easy and classic style, pulling your hair into a top knot is the best to make yourself feel more polished and pretty in under a minute. Also perfect for those days you can't be bothered washing your hair (too often for me ... my long hair takes aaaggeess to wash)!
