hot perth eats

Thursday means one more day until it's Friday and then one more day until the weekend, right?!!!

If you are anything like me, then you're already beginning to plan your weekend around the food and cafe's you will be visiting! If you live in Perth and you need some inspiration to help you with this, then you've come to the right place as I'm back today with another Hot Perth Eats!

Clockwise from top: baked eggs with ash damps from Up Town in Cottesloe, salted caramel and macadamia eclair from Bites By D in Mt Hawthorn, donuts from TopdUp, beef salad from Mama Tran in Claremont and breakfast bruschetta from The Cool Room in Fremantle.

Up Town - this cute cafe recently opened up in Cottesloe's retail strip and serves a great range of quirky breakfast items, pastries and good coffee.

Bites By D - I have been following this business on Instagram for so long and only realised they had a little storefront last weekend when I was in the area. This is definitely worth heading to for a relaxed afternoon tea or a girly high tea (they have a gorgeous space at the back of the store set up for high teas). This eclair was absolutely delicious - probably the best dessert I have tasted in a LONG time.

TopdUp - You'd have to be living under a rock to not have heard of this fun donut company! They stock their crazy-flavoured donuts at plenty of cafes all across WA. Definitely worth hunting out if you need a sugar hit. Some of my favourites include their good old vanilla bean flavour (containing the most beautiful custard cream I have ever tasted) and maple bacon (as good as it sounds)!

Mama Tran - Mama Tran is an institution here in WA and for good reason. The dishes served here are so fresh and healthy and this beef salad is no exception. If you are looking for delicious pho, salads or noodle dishes at ridiculously cheap prices, make a trip to Mama Tran. The perfect takeaway for a night on the couch watching footy!

The Cool Room - I've been to this cafe twice and ordered the same dish both times - a combination of haloumi, avocado, pomegranate seeds and rocket on a toasted sourdough. It is absolutely amazing - the flavours just burst in your mouth. Probably a better place to come to in Summer as there isn't much inside seating - and don't let the look of the place turn you off. It is very grungy, but I promise you the food is amazing and the coffee is great too.

Have a great Thursday everyone and I will chat to you again soon.
