family fun at adventure world

Over the weekend we ventured out for a family day at Adventure World to celebrate their 35th Birthday.

We had so much fun, it's the perfect place for a family outing. With 29 different rides and attractions there really is something for everyone ... crazy rides for the thrill seekers, water slides and pools for kids of all ages and even an Australian Wildlife Experience.

Sadly I couldn't test out their newest thrill ride Goliath as I am currently pregnant but we watched from the sidelines and everyone was loving it! It looked like so much fun. I am definitely coming back to test it out next season and I also want to check out the amazing rollercoaster, Abyss!

Harper loved the Koala Kingdom and Dragon's Kingdom (with all of the younger kids rides and attractions) and hubby loved all the waterslides. It was such a warm day, but there were so many shady spots available and lots of pools to cool off in.

Family passes start from $149 and include free entry to all rides and attractions except for the Koala Experience. If you are visiting from outside Australia I would highly recommend the Koala Experience - you get to explore inside the Koala enclosure, meet the cute Koalas and take some gorgeous photos.

I thought I'd also share a few tips if you are thinking of visiting the park sometime soon:

  • Arrive early so you can secure a spot in the shade
  • Bring picnic blankets, camping chairs and even a sun shade (great for putting your little ones in to nap during the day)
  • You can pack your own picnic lunch and esky but there are also several kiosks and cafes scattered around the park where you can buy lunch
  • Pack your bathers, hat, sunscreen and a few changes of clothes - there are so many water attractions!
  • Check out the website before you visit so you can plan out your day
  • If you love all the thrill seeker rides and water slides, buy a fast pass so you can skip the queues  and gain priority access

Have you been to Adventure World lately? What was your favourite ride?
